House League Rain Policy

Soccer is played in the rain.

If the City of Vaughan closes the fields, games are cancelled and played on the alternate rain date. The field closure hotline for the city is 905-832-8577 press 4. For teams U6 and up: If the message is "fields are open" please go to your assigned field. If the message is "fields are closed" then go to the assigned field on the alternate date.

If the City of Vaughan does not cancel the fields the cancellation policy is as follows:

• U4 & U5 – Games are played at the coaches' discretion. If the coaches decide to cancel the games, teams can play on their alternate rain date. This is something that must be organized by the two teams involved.
  
  
• U6-GU14/BU14 – It's the sole responsibility of the referee to cancel games due to poor weather conditions at the time of kick-off. If after 15 minutes there is no improvement (i.e. lightning continues) and the referee feels the game is unsafe to play, the game will be cancelled. Games will be played on the alternate rain date.
