Pre "B" Assessment Course

The Ontario Provincial Pre 'B' Assessment has been developed and designed with the Provincial 'B' Licence course in mind. It is for those coaches who plan to attain higher certification within the coaching stream in Ontario and/or to obtain a Coaching License which can only be administered by the Canadian Soccer Association the governing body of soccer in Canada through their National Coaching Courses.

The Pre 'B' technical assessment is four days in duration with a minimum of 8 hours per day. This assessment provides coaches with a clearer picture of the standards required by a Coach to be awarded a Provincial 'B' Licence.

This course is not an accreditation course nor a coaching licence—neither diplomas or certificates are issued; however, candidates will be provided written feedback and may receive a recommendation to proceed to a Provincial 'B' Licence course based on their performance...

Successfully completing the Pre 'B' Assessment, a coach may apply to attend a Provincial 'B' Course a year later.

It is important that coaches have the opportunity to apply the information (Theory/Practical) they have learned into practice. Repetition of the applications by the coach should allow for an experienced comfort level in order to attend the Provincial 'B' Licence and be successful.

Throughout this process, candidates will be given both verbal and written feedback. Verbal feedback will be in the form of group and individual feedback. The final result will be mailed following the conclusion of the course which will include a final score and written feedback based on the performance.

The final written results will either recommend the coach to attend a Provincial 'B' Licence Course or it will recommend that the Pre 'B' Assessment be re-taken.
